With a heavy heart i need to let the Chapter members know we lost a member on Aug 5th. Ray Torrez passed away from an illness. Ray was the chapters Membership Officer who's great team building skills help the chapter increase membership for the chapter. Ray was and excellent rider and road captain and a good friend. We will all miss him dearly. Please respect Tracey's privacy at this time. We will let everyone know about memorial services in the future.
I have to give sad news to the chapter, we lost one of our members on Aug 6th.
Barbara Raff Fears passed away. Barbara was a quiet beautiful lady full of life, she loved riding with Steve. We will miss her dearly. Steve Coffman advised us he will provide the chapter with Barbarapalooza party information, a celebration of her life.
Congratulation to Joyce and Jennifer Wolf
EVHOG, there was such great interest in our last ride challenge that Dan and I came up with another one for all to enjoy. The next social distancing ride challenge is in the spirit of supporting locally owned restaurants with take out orders and getting out and riding!!! Here’s how to play....
Starting Monday May 4th you can post of picture of you at a restaurants with a name that starts with the letter of the day and something that says EVHOG. You get one ticket per day with a picture of you, an EVHOG item and a restaurant name OR you get 5 tickets per day if you have a pic of you, EVHOG, restaurant name and a receipt showing you purchased something from the restaurant in support like takeout orders. We are spelling out our super awesome dealers name DesertWind!!!

This is what we want you to do.....
Each day starting at high noon, we want you to post a picture of you or you and friends, your bike, your EVHOG patch or green shirt and the city sign with the letter you are trying to get for that day.
For example: Monday 3/30 - E., I rode down to Eloy that day or anyday before 3/30 and I take a picture of the Eloy sign, me and my bike with my EVHOG vest on or green shirt. I make sure I am the first member to submit the picture on FB for that day, the clock starts at 12:00pm and then I am the winner for that day but only If I am the first to submit a picture for that day, I will get a ticket for winning and I will be put in a drawing at our April General meeting to win a $50 gift card. Once you win one day you can't win any of the other days , UNLESS no one post a picture for that day and you are the only one that post a picture on that days city's letter. Also a city name can NOT be posted twice during the whole challenge, once a city has been posted it can't be posted again, So there are 2 E's, 2 A's and 2 L's. You can start riding and collecting these pictures now. Also, everyone in your picture will get a ticket, if you are the winner for that day. So get out there and ride around our beautiful state and show us your pictures. You can start collecting your cities now.... don’t wait. We can't wait to see where you all ride to. Any questions please comment below. Saddle Up, Let's Ride , be safe out there and have fun.

With a heavy heart, once again I have to give sad news to East Valley HOG. Our chapter has lost another member, Harvey Redman has passed away. Harvey was a great friend and a great rider, Harvey was a true Arizona cowboy, he was always fighting for the protection of those do not have a voice, when he was not riding he investigated crimes against animals for Maricopa county sheriff's department. He will be missed by everyone, Harvey's passing left a huge hole in our lives and our hearts.
From Jen:
I wanted to thank all our EVHOG family for showing up on the ride today, to show your love for Harvey, who is one of our ride angels in heaven now. This was a beautiful act of love. We are a true family not by blood, but by love. Thank you all for being so amazing. Please stay safe out there
